Datsport was founded in the late 1990s by Barry “Baz” Rainsford, an engineer, enthusiast, and problem-solver who believed Datsun owners deserved more than generic aftermarket parts. He set out to design components that solved real problems across multiple Datsun platforms, improving safety, strength, and performance for both road and motorsport applications.
While the Datsun 510/1600 is a well-known part of our heritage, it represents just one piece of what we do. Datsport engineers and supplies components for a wide range of classic Datsun platforms, spanning multiple generations, body styles, and use cases.
Our catalog includes parts and solutions for vehicles such as the 1600, 180B, 200B, Stanza and other early Nissan/Datsun models, but it doesn’t stop there. Many of our components are designed to support conversions, upgrades, and custom applications where off-the-shelf solutions simply don’t exist.
