Modified R31 strut 50 mm shorter than 200B Low ride height with full travel No more front end thump

Datsport has chosen to base its suspension system on the Skyline R31 strut for a number of reasons. The R31 strut is 50mm shorter than the commonly used 200b and Bluebird strut.  The shorter stut permits lower ride heights without compromising suspension travel. The extra travel permits the use of longer softer progessive rate springs if desired. There is no need for super stiff springs to stop bottoming and destroying the bump stops. Obtaining quality shock inserts, to control these high spring rates, for 200B/Bluebird struts is difficult. The choice of shocks available for the R31 strut is excellent as most manuactures make a variety of inserts to suit. Datsport recommends KYB inserts for R31 struts as these, are well priced and, perform superbly on a 1600. Of course we will supply other types if requested,like Koni,Bilstein,etc. The R31 Strut also allows for some interesting brake upgrades.
