Rear control arm

Fully rebuilt 510/1600 rear control arm with attached brackets for R31 disc brake conversion.
Arms are stripped,blasted & inspected. Laser cut brackets are professionally jig welded to the arm and the assembly powder coated. New bearings seals & spacer are fitted. The original lock nut is replaced with a heavy duty type.

When you fit rear disc brakes to your 1600 rear arms it is generally necessary to replace the rear axle bearings as any wear or play in the axles will cause pad knock off resulting in extra pedal movement. After 30 years of service your 1600 rear axle bearings are very tired. Replacing bearings in 1600 rear arms is a difficult job at the best of times & is extremely difficult without the proper facilities. Removing the rear bushes can also be a pain in the butt. When you upgrade your 1600 to R31 rear discs then this is the way to save time,money and frustration.
