Radiator 510 1600 fitment

Many types of rads are can be fitted to the 510. Most people do not like cutting the front of
the car to fit a larger rad. These shots show fitment of the commonly used N13 pulsar GtiR rad

Note that the rad opening is much larger than normal but at first glance looks standard.
This is achieved by carefully marking out the opening & then cutting inside the line. Carefully working around the cut ( mark out the line) with a shifting spanner adjusted to the thickness of the sheet metal it is possible to achieve the pictured results. The lipping restores the original rigidity of the support panel. A minor amount of work with a dolly & hammer finishes the job of nicely. It seems a waste to fit a larger rad & not enlarge the opening to suit.
