Battery box

This superb quality rear mounted battery kit comes with all fittings required to complete the job, right down to pop rivets.
The kit has twin cables right to the starter motor.
The cables specially made for DATSPORT are 35mm2 and super flexible.
The fifteen metres of cable is capable of supporting 450amps.The cable fittings are crimped to high voltage specs with an hydraulic press. The cables are protected with waterproof glands at the firewall.
The corrosion resistant black zinc plated battery hold downs, clamp the battery at its base and anchors under the vehicle.The lid is secured by a stainless wing nut.
Terminals and thumb screws are marine spec.

The battery box is fitted with a relay and solenoid.This is designed to disconnect the power if a major short circuit should occur as the result of an accident. It can also act as an anti theft device. Should some unmentionable prick try to steal your pride and joy by hot wiring, the protection link can blow, thus killing all power.
When the battery box is mounted in its correct position in the left side of the boot the control system is not visible nor is it immediatly accessable.
